About the Achievement Awards

Each year, Community for Education Foundation presents Achievement Awards to outstanding business leaders, educators, and students who exemplify the spirit of the Overcoming Obstacles Life Skills Program.

Lifetime Achievement Awards honor the lives of adults who have attained excellence in their careers while giving back to their communities. Achievement in Education Awards are presented to distinguished educators who bring the Overcoming Obstacles program to life in their schools and whose dedication changes the lives of their students.

Student Achievement Awards honor young people who demonstrate exemplary communication, decision making, and goal setting skills, and who use these skills to successfully overcome challenges in their lives. These students are also awarded scholarships for postsecondary education.

Your support of the Achievement Award helps bring Overcoming Obstacles to teachers across the country, and ensures that all students learn the communication, decision making, and goal setting skills they need to succeed in their academic and social lives.
