Bullying
Close

Students today are surrounded by negativity and violence. From bullies in school to violence on television to guns in the hands of classmates, students deal with serious challenges to their physical and emotional well being every day. Students also hear and see so many conflicting opinions about the way they should look and act. It is not surprising that students often have low self-esteem, confused ideas of self-worth, and lack of confidence in their positive attributes. In this module:

  • Students address rules and respect, work on confronting and eliminating bullying in all its forms, affirm the high value of themselves and others.
  • Students understand why anger, insults, and violence are not answers to problems and conflicts. They learn practical, realistic ways to handle violence by exploring positive, non-violent strategies to cope with bullying.
