Are Your Ducks in a Row?

Posted: January 3, 2020

The beginning of a new year can be stressful for students, especially if they feel disorganized or not equipped for what may lie ahead way. Taking the time to get their “ducks in a row” can help ease anxiety, fill them with confidence, and prepare them for challenges ahead!

The lesson “Getting Organized” from the Overcoming Obstacles Middle School curriculum presents an effective way to help your students achieve success in 2020. In one of the lesson extensions, students are asked to identify an area of their life that is in need of organization. Then, they write a detailed plan for organizing that area. Once they have finished, they share the plan with a fellow student for feedback.

This is just a small example of the many ways you can use the Overcoming Obstacles curriculum to help prepare your students for the year ahead.
